All three organs of the state of Nepal are under the control of the protesters; Parliament, Singha Durbar, and Supreme Court are burnt down.
September 9, Kathmandu. The three main branches of the state—the Legislature (Parliament), the Executive (Singha Durbar), and the Judiciary (Supreme Court)—have fallen under the control of the protesters. There has been arson at the main buildings of all three bodies. Protesters have entered and vandalized these buildings. Heads of the security and administrative bodies have issued a joint statement, admitting that the situation is beyond their control and appealing for a solution to the crisis.
Currently, the Parliament building in New Baneshwor is completely under the control of the protesters. All physical structures there have been vandalized, and fires have been set by the demonstrators.
Similarly, protesters have stormed and set fire to the Supreme Court, the Office of the Attorney General, the Nepal Bar Association, the Kathmandu District Court, and several other buildings.
